Vic West sits across the Upper Harbour from the city centre. It holds the Songhees waterfront development on one side and older residential streets behind, with the Galloping Goose trail running through the middle of it.
It was industrial and working class for most of its history and it changed considerably once the Songhees lands were developed. The two halves of the neighbourhood still feel quite different from one another.
