Fairfield runs east from Cook Street Village along the Dallas Road waterfront to Ross Bay. The housing is largely early twentieth century, on decent lots with mature trees, and a great deal of it has been kept rather than replaced.
Cook Street Village anchors the west end with a genuine high street of independent shops. Beacon Hill Park sits on one boundary and the ocean walk runs the length of the southern edge.
